One-on-One Control Tactics – Instructor

Description:
This course is designed to certify participants as instructors in the One-on-One Control Tactics System. With the Courts looking at every contact police officers have with the public, this integrated control system has been found to be non-obtrusive to the public, while at the same time maintaining officer safety and giving the officer maximum control without causing injury to the subject and/or the officer. The techniques taught within this system have been both court and street proven!

The 40-hour One-on-One Control Tactics Instructors Course is designed to provide each participant with the information and skills necessary to effectively teach the One-on-One Control Tactics course. Students will be provided with information and training time that goes well beyond the basic course instruction to ensure they develop the abilities they will need to teach this topic. Additionally, they will be required to demonstrate their academic understanding of the material covered, and their ability to create a lesson plan utilizing the course material. Participants will also be required to teach a selected section of the material to show their skills at putting all of the material into a real world training event.

Topics to be covered:

• Assessing your organizations control system
• How to modify a system to meet specific needs
• Concepts of confrontational subject management
• Techniques for standing and ground attacks
• Training drills to enhance student performance

Participants who successfully complete the 40-hour instructor’s course will receive the following:

• Instructor certification (valid for 1 year)
• One-on-One Control Tactics Instructor’s Manual
• One-on-One Control Tactics Instructor I.D. Card
• Instructor Shirt
• Challenge Coin

Dress Requirement:

• Comfortable athletic attire, please no shorts
• Footwear that permits movement in all directions
• Hydration source

This course can be custom tailored to meet the time constraints of the hosting party or organization. It is recommended that the time dedicated to this training be no less than four hours, so as to provide enough time for the proper delivery and practice of the material being presented.
