One-on-One Control Tactics - Basic Operator

Description:
This course is an integrated control system designed to give officers confidence in hand-to-hand confrontations. The system addresses situations that take place while standing and on the ground and has an emphasis placed on ground control. Participants will be taught techniques that have been found to be non-obtrusive to the public, while at the same time maintaining officer safety and giving the officer maximum control without causing injury to the subject and/or the officer. Most importantly is the fact that the techniques taught in the One-on-One Control Tactics system have been both court and street proven.

Topics to be covered:

• The concepts of confrontational subject management
• Control techniques for standing and ground encounters
• Proficiency drills to maintain skills
• Importance of mental preparation for combat type encounters

Equipment needed:

• Duty belt without weapons
• Body armor
• Mouth piece (recommended)
• Hydration source

Dress Requirement:

• Comfortable athletic attire, please no shorts
• Footwear that permits movement in all directions

This course can be custom tailored to meet the time constraints of the hosting party or organization. It is recommended that the time dedicated to this training be no less than four hours, so as to provide enough time for the proper delivery and practice of the material being presented.
