Basic Shotgun Training Course

Description:
The D & R Training Basic Shotgun Training Course is designed to train participants in the safe and efficient application of shoulder mounted shotguns. Participants will become intimately familiar with the shotgun, and how to effectively discharge the weapon. Participants will also be required to demonstrate proficiency in dealing with various weapon malfunctions.

Topics to be covered:

• Weapon nomenclature
• Operator Level - weapon break down and assembly
• Operator Level - weapon care and maintenance
• Weapon Safety
• Weapon malfunctions (causes and clearance)

Ammunition Required:

• Rifled Slugs – 5 rounds
• 00 Buck – 30 rounds
• Birdshot – 30 rounds

Equipment Required:

• Pump action 12 gauge shotgun
• Wrap around eye protection
• Ear protection
• Sling (recommended, but not required)
• Gun Cleaning kit
