TASER® Brand Weapons – Basic Operator Certification Course

Description:
The 6 hour basic operator certification course is designed to certify participants in the proper application of TASER® brand electronic control devices. Upon successful completion of this training program, participants will be certified operators of both the M-26 and X-26 weapon systems. Admission to this course is strictly limited to law enforcement and appropriate military personnel only.

Topics to be covered:

• Weapon technology overview
• Proper weapon function and deployment
• Safety consideration for weapon deployment
• Use of force
• Incident documentation
• Weapon care and maintenance
• Tactical consideration

Equipment Required:

• TASER® Brand weapon (LE Models)
• Appropriate belt and weapon holster
• Six live cartridges

Dress Requirement:

• Wrap around eye protection Comfortable casual attire, please no shorts
• Footwear that will permit movement in all directions
